Children’s Discovery Museum Newsletter

October at the Museum

Hello friends,

Ah, fall. We're enjoying watching the change of season on our weekly Quarry Road Outdoor Adventures and gearing up for an afterschool program to start next week! Caitlin, our new Community Programs & Relations Coordinator, has been hard at work. You can meet her on the blog. We also wrapped up another successful season of our Viles Meetups this month. We'll be back at them next year.

We've got Frightful Fun Pack in the works and a Movies in the Park planned for Halloween, but this month we've already got giving thanks on the brain as we recently wrapped up a successful Get Your Laugh On Auction event, where all funds raised went to supporting our new museum. See below for a big thank you and shout out to everyone who donated.

Yours in discovery,

Amarinda Keys
Children's Discovery Museum Executive Director

AT-HOME ACTIVITY OF THE MONTH
Get out and enjoy the fall foliage for this fun & easy fall craft!
Spend time collecting leaves of different shapes, sizes and colors - talk about what you see and feel as you go.
Then bring them indoors and place them under a piece of paper to rub the imprints on with a crayon. Hang the picture up as is, or cut out a paper plate wreath and glue on your crayon leaf creations.

Stay safe, and don't forget to PLAY!
