18th Annual Celebrity Dinner
September 16, 2017, 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM
It's Only a Few Weeks Away! ? Where else can you find a hula hoop contest, limbo challenge, and M.C. Jeff Peterson? Wax up your board, pack up your woodie, and dig out your best Hawaiian shirt for the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center's biggest night of the year, the 18th annual Celebrity Dinner!
Last year this event raised over $53,000 to support prevention and intervention services in Kennebec and Somerset Counties. This year, we're looking to reach $60,000!
Much of the money is raised by our fantastic celebrity waiters who will serve and entertain you. Be prepared -- they're earning tips for the entertainment they provide. Want your waiter to hula hoop while singing "Moon River?" It's going to cost you. Want them to stop? That will probably cost even more! On top of your celebrity waiter antics you can expect...
- a buffet dinner
- tons of live and silent auction items (look for me during the live auction!)
- 50/50 raffle
- kayak raffle
- hula hoop contest (do NOT look for me during this)
- limbo challenge (ditto!)
- M.C. Jeff Peterson from WGME
- live music by the Music Crew
- plenty of Hawaiian shirts and probably a coconut bra or two
