Art Stories

In this workshop series teens will work with artist Shirel Horovitz to explore the meeting points and intersections between art and stories. The workshop will include sculpting, writing, blogging and more. Combined with curiosity, playfulness, and experimentation, students will create an installation in the Ken-a-Set space in downtown Waterville. The workshop will include a visit to Colby Museum of Art. Exhibition opening and event on Saturday, May 30, 7-9 pm.

This course takes place on the five Saturdays in May, 10 am -2 pm. Attendance is free and lunch is provided. Commitment to all 5 sessions is required. Limited to 12 high school students, grades 9-12. Registration required by April 20.

To register, email info@commonstreetarts.com and include the following information: Name, Age/Grade, Address, Phone number, and name and phone number of a parent. Include one paragraph about why you’d like to take part in this workshop. Answers as to who is accepted will be sent via email by Friday April 24.
