Book Discussion: The Devil’s Highway

April 25, 2023, 12:00 PM

NEW DATE!
(moved from April 26 to April 25)

In May 2001, a group of men attempted to cross the Mexican border into the desert of southern Arizona, through the deadliest region of the continent, the “Devil's Highway.” Three years later, Luis Alberto Urrea wrote about what happened to them. Proclaimed a modern classic, The Devil’s Highway: A True Story, was a national bestseller, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and a “book of the year” in multiple newspapers .

Join this book discussion hosted by the Mid-Maine Global Forum. Copies of the book are available at local libraries and bookstores.

Lunch options from Jorgensen's: half turkey wrap, vegetarian (with vegan option); comes with a soup, cookie, coffee and tea.

$15 pay at the event. You are welcome to bring your own lunch. Order at midmaineglobalforum@gmail.com.

You only need to sign up if you want to order lunch. Since this is the first book discussion the GF has hosted, we have no track record on how many people will show up.
