Community Spokes: A Bicycle and Pedestrian Advocacy Leadership Initiative

November 2, 2016, 9:00 AM4:30 PM

The Community Spokes Program is the Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s effort to create a statewide network of bicycle and pedestrian advocates at the local level. We empower Mainers to become champions of better biking and walking through advocacy training, education, and ongoing technical support.

This free, one-day training will teach the foundation of bicycle and pedestrian issues, cover useful tools in advocating for change, and provide workshop time for participants to start their own projects. We are also planning to include an on-street demonstration project as part of this workshop.

This training is FREE, but you must register in advance. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

You can locate the Facebook event page here.
