Will you be attending May's Central Maine Tech Night? We hope so! Join us for drinks, pizza, and the hottest issues in technology!

Central Maine's technology community comes together on the second Thursday of each month for a fun night of collaboration, drinks, food, and networking. At Tech Night you will be connected with technologists (from experts to hobbyists) who share a passion for learning, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Our May Tech Talk is "Competitive Tech Funding: Public Finance & Grant Tools for Start-Ups & Technology-Based Businesses," by Garvan D. Donegan, senior economic development specialist at the Central Maine Growth Council. His talk will provide a blueprint on the leading Maine-based public finance and grant programs that provide the high growth, small business community with access to financial capital and R&D funds to develop commercially viable innovations.

CMGC is the leading public/private catalyst and resource for economic development in Central Maine. The Growth Council is dedicated to fostering a robust regional economy through successful collaborative partnerships among businesses, governments, academic institutions, health care facilities, arts and cultural agencies, and residents primarily in the communities of Waterville, Winslow, Fairfield, and Oakland. The benefit is a highly desirable place in which to enjoy an outstanding work-life balance.

TechNight attendees will also get a sneak peek at the new Bricks Coworking and Innovation Space, whose open house is May 18, from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m.

This free event is presented by Central Maine Growth Council and is sponsored by CGI, Thomas College's Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation, Valley Beverage, and Bricks Coworking & Innovation Space

Location: Bricks Coworking & Innovation Space, First Floor, Hathaway Creative Center.
