Introduction to Bookbinding

Come spend a few weeks learning the art of bookbinding with Anna Low from the Purplebean Bindery. Over six weekly classes you will make small folded paper books and fun floppy cards, nifty accordion books, a small poem book using the Japanese stab binding, leather covered sketchbooks using the long stitch and for the last two session, constructing a coptic bound journal using recycled book covers. You'll leave every class with one or two books you've made, perfect to use as notebooks, journals, unique greeting cards, or to fill with art. All supplies and tools will be provided! The class comprises six, 2-hour sessions on Mondays, April 3 - May 8, 5:30 – 7:30 p. m. The cost is $190, or $175 for CSA members.
