The Kennebec Juneteenth Educational Walking Tour - Oakland, Maine will be hosted by Dr. Phoenix Mourning-Star (former member of Board of Directors Black American West Museum).

Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm, Friday, June 19th

Location: Oakland, Maine (address: TBA)

What: Kennebec Juneteenth Educational Walking Tour

More: Attendees will be asked to bring their own masks, and observe social distancing as they walk through an array of educational stations/tables to ask questions, participate in community conversations, learn and enjoy an outdoor experience celebrating 200 years of Maine as the Nation's First Free (Always Free) state.

All are welcome, so long as youth-friendly perspectives and language is used.

This is an educational event being held on donated private space in Oakland, so we will not be hosting protesters/marchers, or home-made signage.
