Lost on a Mountain in Maine: Remembering Donn Fendler

August 31, 2017, 7:00 PM

Free

Join us as we host a presentation from Ryan Cook, producer and director up the upcoming Lost On A Mountain In Maine film project. Known as one of Maine’s most iconic true stories, Lost on A Mountain In Maine tells the story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler, who survived nine days in the Maine woods after becoming lost atop Mount Katahdin during the summer of 1939. Donn’s twin brother, Ryan Fendler, will join the presentation to provide insight into those nine days, as well as reflect on the legacy his brother left behind.

Ryan will be presenting a documentary clip of Donn recounting the adventure in his own words, along with a memorial video honoring the years of service Donn gave to his country and to the state of Maine. Ryan will also discuss the long journey in bringing Donn’s story to the big screen and the importance of the project’s completion now more than ever.
