MIFFONEDGE – Astro Trilogy and other works

FreeFeaturing exciting and innovative work spanning decades of moving image history, MIFFONEDGE explores the intersection of film and art and pushes the boundaries of commonly accepted notions of cinema. This year's MIFFONEDGE presentation will include a live projector performance by returning guest Kerry Laitala and a multi-media exhibition at Common Street Arts featuring the work of Harry Smith, Laitala, and others. On Thursday, July 20th at 9:00pm, Kerry Laitala returns to MIFF with "Astro Trilogy and other works," a multi-projector, live performance of some of her work. Kerry will be joined by her musical collaborator Wobbly performing live some of the sound for her films. With these works, cinema becomes a unique, live performance event.
