Mozart Requiem
April 29, 2017, 7:30 PM
In the closing concerts of the season, the Colby Symphony Orchestra, the Colby Kennebec Choral Society, and the Colby College Chorale will present Mozart’s Requiem. The orchestra will also perform movements from the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and the Vaughan Williams Oboe Concerto with Concerto Competition winners Jacqueline Betz '17, violin, and Lucas Lam '17, oboe, as soloists.
These concerts are dedicated to Peter Ré, a retired Colby professor, a composer, a pianist, and a past conductor of the orchestra, who died last July 24, at age 97. Read the Morning Sentinel article here.
