Permaculture: A Vision for Regenerative Food Systems

May 20, 2015, 6:30 PM

Free

How can we grow our own food while healing ecosystems? Can we dare to imagine designed ecosystems that produce food and useful products for all species? Jesse Watson, who operates Midcoast Permaculture Design, will discuss permaculture, a system of perennial agriculture emphasizing the use of renewable natural resources and the enrichment of local ecosystems. Watson will address food-system design and introduce permaculture design process principles and methods with Maine case studies. Watson does permaculture planning and installation for residential and farm clients and teaches permaculture design for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
