Reflections on the Kennebec River Reception

August 2, 2018, 4:00 PM6:00 PM

Free

This exhibition is a collaboration between the Waterville Area Art Society, Harlow Gallery, Wesserunsett Arts Council and Common Street Arts.  The artists included in this show were asked to respond to the Kennebec River and its importance as a natural resource for the towns and cities that surround it.  This magnificent waterway has sustained communities for generations through its role in supporting Maine’s transportation, logging, forestry, textile and paper industries—as well as providing a more leisurely role in sustaining recreational pursuits including boating, fishing, and swimming.

The exhibition runs from Aug 1 - Sept 8, 2018.
