Regional Job Fair

FreeThe Central Maine Growth Council (CMGC) in partnership with CareerCenters, KVCAP and Waterville Public Library will host a Regional Job Fair at T&B's Celebration Center, 6 Jefferson Street, Waterville. This event is sponsored by CGI, TD Bank and Central Western Maine Workforce Development Board.
The event was created as part of the ongoing workforce development efforts by Central Maine Growth Council to address the hiring issues of many local businesses. "The majority of the businesses that we speak with are in need of reliable employees with strong soft skills. We have seen incremental successes through our partnership with Mid- Maine Technical Center and the pre-apprenticeship program that aims to build our future workforce; however, we recognize that many businesses have immediate positions that they need to fill both locally and statewide," notes Garvan Donegan, senior economic development specialist for CMGC.
The economic development organization for Waterville, Winslow, Oakland and Fairfield has offered free booth space to all of its investors. Booth space for non-CMGC investors is available for a fee.
