$5Returning for their twelfth appearance as headliners at the Union Coffeehouse, Bob and Renee always provide our audiences with a first-class concert. Their voices blend seamlessly to create delightful harmonies while their accomplished guitar accompaniment completes a musical picture that appeals to audiences and makes them one of the most popular acts in central Maine. They cover all forms of Americana music including soft rock, country, blues, pop standards and, of course, both traditional and contemporary folk.
A Simons and Goodwin performance is always unpredictable in terms of the set list, always keeping the audience on its toes and anticipating the next song. The predictable part of each performance is the tightness that comes from years of friendship and beautiful, intricate harmonies. There is a warmth that comes through their songs and it makes you feel like you’re listening to old friends.
As always, there will be wonderful baked goods, and fresh coffee, tea, and lemonade for you to enjoy while you listen to the music. And don’t forget the serendipitous group of performers who show up for the Open Mic time following the featured performers. I hope we'll see you there and would love to have you bring some friends.
