Mid-Maine Global Forum –Linda Cotter Speaker Event

Ukraine War: The Holiday from History is Over

Heather Conley, President of the German Marshall Fund of the U.S.

The Mid-Maine Global Forum along with the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs is pleased to host Heather Conley as the speaker for our annual Linda Cotter Speaker Event.  Heather Conley will speak about the war in Ukraine, Russian politics, and the impact on and influence of Europe on both. Conley is most known for developing the acclaimed Kremlin Playbook series, a research project that examined the doctrine and methodology of Russia’s maligned behavior across Europe. She spent 12 years at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she most recently served as senior vice president for Europe, Eurasia, and the Arctic. Conley frequently appears as a foriegn policy analyst and Europe expert on CNN, MSNBC, BBC, NPR, and PBS, among other prominent media outlets.

This event is co-hosted by the Mid-Maine Global Forum and the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs. This annual speaker series is in honor of Linda Cotter, founder of the Mid-Maine Global Forum and late wife of former Colby president William Cotter.

Please join us as Ms. Conley shares her perceptions on this timely issue.
