Virtual Art Club for All – Zoetropes

May 19, 2020, 3:00 PM4:00 PM

Free

The first way that film and animation was made was through an apparatus called the zoetrope which was a simple way to make drawings or still photographs appear to move. Similar to a flip book, a zoetrope uses multiple images to make the illusion of movement. We will be joined by Mike Perrault, Executive Director of the Maine Film Center to discuss upcoming movie events!

Materials: Paper plate or aluminum pie plate, paper, ruler, pencil, scissors and markers.

Tune in to our Facebook Page at 3pm Tuesday and look for our Live Facebook Video and create with us in our Virtual Art Club for All!
