Water Village Book Launch

November 15, 2018, 5:30 PM7:00 PM

Free

Join the Mid Maine Chamber of Commerce for the official book launch of local author Earl H. Smith's Water Village, the first history of Waterville since 1902. In eighteen succinct chapters, Smith traces the city’s evolution from a Colonial outpost to a major 21st century Maine community. He skillfully recounts Waterville’s story in the context of state and national events and the city’s close relationship with Colby College. You won't want to miss this special evening with this incredible local author.

The evening will commence in the foyer at Waterville City Hall. Light refreshments and appetizers representing the diverse culture of our city will be served. Books will be available for purchase. A book reading by Mr. Smith will follow at the Waterville Opera House and he will be available to sign books at the end of the evening.

To pre-order Water Village, contact Brittnae DeRoche, marketing director of the Mid Maine Chamber, at marketing@midmainechamber.com. Books are available for $29.95 + tax.
