DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the market!\nThe market will be open every Thursday\, rain or shine\, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. through mid-November at the Head of Falls by the Two Cent Bridge. There is loads of parking and a flat paved surface. \nWe are a producer-only market: we only sell things we grow and make ourselves! Come get to know your farmers. This program is called Maine Harvest Bucks. \nStarting in June\, senior shoppers can sign up for a free Maine Senior FarmShare! Stay tuned for more info. (Bumper Crop\, Maine Harvest Bucks\, and Senior FarmShare are all programs of Maine Federation of Farmers' Markets - check them out!) \nFind out more info about our vendors and our market at watervillefarmersmarket.org. SUMMARY:The High Kings
DESCRIPTION:Rocky Road Tour\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nDate: Thursday\, July 9 at 7:30pm \nOrganization: Waterville Opera House \nVenue: Waterville Opera House\, 1 Common Street\, Waterville\, Maine \nThis event is eligible for the Youth Arts Access Fund. \n\nAs global ambassadors of Irish heritage and storytelling\, The High Kings have consistently brought the timeless tradition of folk music to audiences worldwide\, earning them chart-topping success and widespread acclaim. With their signature blend of classic tradition and modern edge\, The Rocky Road Tour promises to be a vibrant showcase of Irish culture\, energy\, and musicality. \nFollowing a record-breaking 2024\, the band are showing no signs of slowing down. Their momentum continued in 2025 with a string of sold-out U.S. tour dates\, culminating in a headline performance at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles. But it was their inclusion on the Oscar-winning soundtrack of Sinners—starring Michael B. Jordan and directed by Ryan Coogler—that marked a defining moment in their global recognition. The film’s soundtrack was curated by Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer\, Black Panther)\, a long-time admirer of The High Kings’ distinctive vocal blend and musicianship. After attending their sold-out show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles earlier this year\, Göransson selected two tracks—“The Rocky Road to Dublin” and “Go Lassie Go”—to feature prominently in the film’s score. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS + INFO
