Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area Workshops

Starting June 22, 2022:

Hope’s Place Healing Workshop Series for grieving children and teens

Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer, Memorial Garden Creations, the first of a series of workshops for grieving children and teens that have suffered the death of a loved one. The workshop will be held Wednesday evening, June 22 from 6:00-7:30pm. Memorial gardens can be a beautiful oasis as well as a place to grieve and pay tribute to a loved one and their memory. Participants will have a choice to either collectively create a large memory bird bath, or individually create a memory steppingstone.  Children and teens will leave with an alyssum flower to plant. Hope’s Place volunteer, Trudy Van Knowe, will guide participants through their workshop experience.

All workshops will be held at the Hospice Community Center, 304 Main Street in Waterville and led by community professionals and trained hospice bereavement volunteers. Pre-registration is required. Please call or email Jillian Roy, Bereavement Coordinator, for more information or to register. Phone: 873-3615; E-mail: jroy@ hvwa.org.
