Thousands of families from the central Maine region look forward to Santa and Mrs. Claus’ arrival in downtown Waterville. For many years, with the help of Waterville Main Street, community volunteers create a fun family holiday experience that lasts from Thanksgiving to Christmas, hearkening back to our Franco-American and Lebanese families who have had a strong heritage in our area.

The REM Forum in the Center serves as a warm, inviting waiting room, where families register with their Elf host and can relax with children’s activities, grab a cocoa nearby, or shop downtown Waterville while they await their turn to talk to Santa.

This year we are so grateful for the addition of books! As part of our early literacy efforts, and through the generosity of the Waterville Rotary Club, the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, and Marden’s, each child who visits with Santa will receive a free new book. Reading to children at an early age fosters a lifelong love of learning!

From November 28 to December 22, Santa will be available late afternoons, Tuesday – Friday and, except for a mid-afternoon break, all afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays. See Santa's Schedule for exact times. Kringleville is closed Mondays, except for December 21.

Santa leaves promptly at posted closing times so he can fulfill all his Christmas duties. The best times to see Santa are weekdays and early in the season. Lines may be cut off on busy days to accommodate the Kringleville schedule. Guests are reminded to sign in early, at least 1½ hours before break and closing times.

If school is canceled, Kringleville will also be closed. Cancellations will be posted on the Kringleville Facebook page and announced on local radio stations.
