Nutrition Education Classes
University of Maine Cooperative Extension EFNEP is free to parents and adults caring for children if participants are eligible for programs such as free/reduced-price school meals, SNAP, WIC, Head Start or are experiencing limited income due to job loss, furlough, or layoff.
In this FREE program participants will learn to:
- Cook new recipes and reinvent familiar recipes
- Menu planning
- Use the food on hand
- Choose healthy foods
- Save money at the grocery store
- Keep food safe to eat
- Be more active
- and so much more
We have reformatted most of our programs to a distance learning model from our usual hands-on presentations due to COVID - 19. We offer self-guided, group, and individual learning opportunities.
