Between the Lines: Icebound
February 11, 2018, 2:00 PM
FreeThe entire Jordan family is in a farmhouse parlor in Veazie, Maine in October 1922. They await the imminent death of the family matriarch, who lies in the next room, and the subsequent reading of her will. They all talk about how they’ll spend her money. All except distant cousin Jane Crosby, who actually loved and cared for the dying woman. Who will inherit it all, and how will everyone else react? Written by Maine playwright Owen Davis, Icebound was awarded the 1923 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
