Nuts About Squirrels!
February 20, 2019, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
$1 – $3Did you know there are more than 200 squirrel species worldwide? Underappreciated because of their commonplace nature, there’s a lot more to squirrels than you might think. Did you know squirrels sometimes dig “decoy” holes to throw off anyone who might have observed them burying their food? Or that they have been known to chew up the skin of a rattlesnake, in order to cover themselves with its scent and evade detection by other snakes? How about the fact that squirrels have been responsible for hundreds of power outages in the U.S.? Come develop a new admiration for these critters!
Admission: $3 for adults, $1 for youth under 18.
