Hand Building with Clay

“Handbuilding” is a process that manipulates clay by hand using only simple tools as opposed to the pottery wheel. Before potters used the wheel, they created beautiful pots and clay forms using clay, fingers and hands, and basic hand tools. Students will to fire and glaze the coil mug works they make. No previous ceramic experience is necessary to participate. Class meets Wednesday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 29.
