Art Kits for All: Ian Trask
October 1, 2020, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
FreeWhat kind of art can you make out from materials meant for the landfill or recycling center? Find out with this week's kit! Based on the installation now on view at Common Street Arts, Unearth by artist Ian Trask, the kit will contain materials for a mobile and recycled materials to use. Makers are encouraged to use recyclable materials from your home as well. The kit will be distributed at the Waterville Farmers' Market from 3:00-5:00 p.m., or until supplies last.
Waterville Creates! in collaboration with community partners, including the Colby College Museum of Art, the Kennebec Montessori School, Waterville Public Schools, and the Family Violence Project has launched the very successful Art Kits for All program. This network of local non-profits powers the Art Kits for All program, generously providing volunteers and supplies to keep this popular relief program accessible to all.
