What is life like for a gay Palestinian twenty-something living in Tel Aviv? It’s complicated. In this big-hearted documentary, we meet three friends who are politically active and assertive about their right to define their own identity. Told with honesty, intelligence and humor, the complex story of an emerging LGBTQ community explores questions of nationality, citizenship, geography, religion, sexual orientation, emotional truth and moral integrity.
In English, and in Arabic and Hebrew with English subtitles. (Unrated, 86 min.)
This screening is part of the Maine Jewish Film Festival.
