When vividly recalled, is the past not truly present? Not bygone, but by (with) us? Comprising Raffael Scheck, cello, and Tim Burris, lute and guitar, ScheckMate performs works from bygone eras on period instruments (re)sounding in the moment. They will present pieces by Gabrielli, Kapsberger, Weber, Tárrega, and Villa-Lobos.
