|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, repeating until September 29, 2021

Wednesdays, September 22 and 29, 2021, 4 pm - 6 pm

In this 2 week workshop, participants will create their own 100% upcycled shoulder bag using a coffee bean sack, an old sheet, and an innertube for the strap. This one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly bag is perfect for shopping, a  laptop, gym gear, or an overnight bag. Participants should plan to do some independent prep work between classes. No experience is necessary.

Kim Bernard creates sculpture that is recycled, kinetic, interactive, public, and involves the community. She creates installations upcycled out of trash and is currently focusing on transforming plastic waste into sculpture using her portable recycling machines.
