The Resource Development Manager manages all campaign and fundraising initiatives for United Way of Mid-Maine and is primarily responsible for the annual fundraising campaign. The person in this position provides primary staff support for the Campaign Champions Team and the Campaign Champions Chairs. Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills as well as keen attention to detail are required. Must possess the ability to motivate and work well with many types of people, both staff and volunteers. Year-round donor and volunteer relationship-building is critical. This position requires leadership ability, professionalism, excellent oral and written communication skills, and to coordinate and support community events. This individual must be able to establish a broad level of understanding, acceptance, and giving for the United Way of Mid-Maine.
Remote work from within Somerset County/Kennebec county may be allowed. But successful candidate MUST have close access to Somerset/Northern Kennebec Counties.
This is a salaried exempt position with competitive pay and benefit package.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent education/experience. Preferred area of experience in Resource Development, Fundraising, and/or Marketing and Communications.
- Two to four years experience in fundraising or resource development is preferred. Experience in a United Way or non-profit organization is also preferred.
- Additional experience in marketing, volunteer management, project management, training, and communications is desirable.
- Must have a solid grasp of computers, including word-processing, database platforms, and spreadsheets. Web design experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge a plus.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
