SUMMARY:Friends Camp Work Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Work weekend is coming up! Each year in mid-May\, generous volunteers join Friends Camp to help prepare for the upcoming season. This spring\, work weekend will be Friday\, May 15 to Sunday\, May 17. This is an opportunity for friends in the area to help with some of the repairing\, cleaning\, and painting that needs to be completed before the first campers show up in June. You can learn more about work weekend on our website here. We request that all volunteers register by May 1\, although later registrations are permitted. \nBy volunteering\, you will be a part of making camp happen this summer and even have an impact on camp into the future. We do not offer a childcare program\, but children and teens are welcome to join for work projects if accompanied by adults. \nSome projects we will be working on this year at work weekend include: \n\nBuilding a giant "nest" for camper play\nPainting the outsides of cabins\nWorking on kitchen storage\nPlanting plants\nGeneral camp clean-up\n\nCome help out—for the whole weekend or just a few hours—and make a difference at camp! \nRegister to volunteer!

SUMMARY:Friends Camp Volunteer Work Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Our annual volunteer work weekend is happening Friday\, May 16 - Sunday\, May 18 at Friends Camp! Work weekend is an opportunity to spend time at camp\, helping prepare the property for the summer alongside others who care about camp. Volunteers should come prepared to participate in physical labor. Children are welcome to attend\, but there is no kid's program for the weekend\, so families should plan on supervising their children the whole time. Use this link or click the button below to register! Volunteers are welcome to join for all of or any part of the weekend. Meals will be served from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. More information\, including a packing list\, will be sent out at a later date. \nTasks will include: \n\nraking & clearing pathways\nremoving leaves and debris from cabin areas\ncleaning\npreparing the camp kitchen\npreparing flower & vegetable gardens\nminor carpentry projects\noutdoor painting\n\nIf you have skills in a particular area\, like carpentry\, painting\, gardening\, or you own tools or equipment that could be useful for any of these project\, please let us know!
