Weekly Events

These events take place every week (or every other week) at the same time and place. Any event listed below may be suspended during the summer or school vacations, during snowstorms or when snow is forecast, or when its regular meeting time falls on or near a major holiday.

Saturday Snactivity
FREE Snack & Arts/Science Activity, Every Saturday through August 2018, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM thru August 2018, AYC Art Room. Snacks include: Yogurt, Crackers, Fruit, Granola Bars, Water. Stay for all or part of the time; parents are welcome, but not required. Staffed by the Art Teacher and ASP Program Staff.

Enhance®Fitness
Enhance®Fitness is developed and created for older adults of all fitness levels which focuses on cardiovascular exercise, strength training, balance, and flexibility that older adults need to maintain health and function as they age. The program is led by a certified instructor trained in bringing out the physical best for those 55 and older. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10:00—11:00 a.m.

Common Street Arts

Life Drawing
Held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, 5:30-8:00 p.m., this program provides a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists to hone their drawing skills in a supportive environment. Participants bring their media of choice: charcoal, pastels, paint, clay, etc. and CSA provides the chairs, model, and camaraderie. Sessions are open to all levels of experience and are with without formal instruction. The cost is $5/session; scholarships are available to high school students. Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market

Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market
Held every Thursday, the market is a 100% producer-only market. That means when you shop at the market you’re buying directly from the producer. FMI: http://snakeroot.net/waterville/

Summer Location: Head of Falls, by the Two-Cent Bridge, Waterville. Last Thursday in April until the Thursday before Thanksgiving, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., rain or shine.
Winter Location: Chace Forum, Alfond Commons, 150 Main Street, Waterville. December – April, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Breastfeeding Support Group

Tree of HOPE Postpartum Support Group
One in seven mothers feel sad and irritable during pregnancy and postpartum, and fathers can feel down and anxious too. You are not alone! There is hope - and it begins with a simple thought - being a good parent includes taking care of yourself. If you take care of yourself, you will be able to take better care of your baby and your family. Please join us every Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. – noon, and/or the last Saturday of the month, 9:00 – 11:00, for an honest and safe place to listen, talk, and gain education on postpartum experiences. Speak French Social Hour

Looking for a way to brighten up your child's day? Bring them on down to the Library for Crafternoons! Drop in anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. every Tuesday to participate in a fun craft! Rhymetime for Babies, Toddlers, and Their Grownups
Babies are born ready to learn! By singing, clapping, and sharing stories with their grownups, children from birth to age 3 gain valuable skills and knowledge for later learning success. Join us for a half-hour of active fun every Friday, 10:30 – 11:00 a.m., in the Children's Room!
