Behold the Earth

July 30, 2018, 6:30 PM8:00 PM

First Congregational Church UCC and St. Mark's Episcopal Church will be showing the very beautiful and inspiring documentary, Behold the Earth.  This music-rich documentary film explores America’s divorce from the outdoors through conversations with legendary scientists E.O. Wilson, Cal DeWitt, and Theo Colborn, as well as a new generation of creation-care activists within America’s Christian communities.  Katharine Hayhoe, Ben Lowe, and Corina Newsome are close observers of nature bearing witness to creation, asking tough questions about church engagement with environmental issues.

For more information (and to see the trailer) please go to the Behold the Earth website https://www.beholdtheearth.com/ where you can also read the praise the film has received from religious leaders and scientists.

Two showings:
Monday, July 30th, at St. Mark's (60 Eustis Parkway, Waterville), 6:30-8:00
Wednesday, August 1st, Waterville UCC (7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville), 6:30-8:00

Light refreshments will be served, admission is free, but there will be a goodwill offering at each church.
