Criminal Justice Reform in a Post-Obama World: Dead or Alive?

May 3, 2017, 7:00 PM

Free

Sally Yates served in the Justice Department for more than 27 years, quickly rising through the ranks to become the first woman to run the U.S. Attorney’s office. In her career, she has prosecuted a notorious bomber of abortion clinics and called for jailing white-collar criminals. Earlier this year, she was dismissed as Acting U.S. Attorney General for refusing to defend President Trump’s controversial travel and immigration ban. Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez told the Washington Post, “Acting Attorney General Yates’s record is simply beyond reproach.”

Cosponsored by the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement and the Oak Institute for Human Rights.
