Peace, Love & Zoo
June 7, 2017, 7:00 PM
$6 – $9Peace, Love & Zoo brings us into the world of Portland’s Local Guru, resident “Mad Artist,” recovery advocate, Zoo Cain. Peace, Love & Zoo tells the inspiring, colorful story of Zoo Cain, whose dedication to art and service to others is truly astounding.
It is also his therapy. Having lived as a severe addict for decades, he is now in his 25th year of sobriety, rife with challenging chasms and spiritual enlightenment.
It’s easy to make assumptions about Zoo when you meet him. Most people know him as the AA guru, the License Plate guy, the wild hippie dancer, the guy who wears shorts in the winter, the prolific writer, the artist who is fighting cancer (and is currently in remission), the dad who’s son and daughter are fighting battles of their own.
This vibrant documentary will help to bring Zoo into the national spotlight and inspire others with his incredible service work to the community, his art, and all the colorful pieces that make up the mosaic that is Zoo Cain.
(Unrated, 74 min.)
Admission: $9 for adults; $7 for seniors, soldiers, and students; $6 for children.
