Concert Pianist Raja Rahman

$10A prize-winning graduate of The Juilliard School, Canadian pianist Raja Rahman has received 2 degrees and several honors and prizes that The Juilliard School bestows upon its best concert artists. Winner of concerto competitions, the Vladimir Horowitz Scholarship, Concert Artists Guild competition, and numerous other prestigious awards, Raja’s career has taken him all over the world in concert as both soloist and chamber musician. European tours have led to collaborations with Sir Georg Solti, Mstislav Rostropovich, Lorin Maazel, Iona Brown and many other notable conductors. Other collaborations have included performances with cellist Matt Haimovitz, and members of the Juilliard String Quartet and San Francisco Symphony.
Raja has been active not only as a touring concert pianist over the past few years, but as one of the two stars in a ground breaking stage production “Jarrett & Raja”. This company has toured from the Edinburgh Festival to London and all over Asia to massive critical acclaim.
In April of 2008, he was handed a Proclamation from the Mayor of Las Vegas in recognition of his efforts to expand culture there. After headlining in a $35M show in Singapore from 2010 – 2012, Raja starred in America’s Got Talent 2012 where he was one of the Semi Finalists in NYC! Subsequent performances on the CW Network and the BBC recently aired worldwide. Currently, Raja is concertizing, touring with “Jarrett & Raja”, and appearing on TV on SyFy, CW, and the BBC.
