SLICE: Sound Effects for Movies

Crash! Boom! Bang! It can be said that half of your experience in watching a film is the soundtrack. Foley art is the creation of everyday sound effects that are added to movies and video during post-production. Teens aged 13–18 are invited to join filmmaker Nancy Andrews to make, record, and place sound effects cues. Students will also practice pre-recording sound effects and learn about the art of microphone placement and sound mixing.
