“Bead with Us! – Jewelry Making Night Out”
$40 per person ($20 paid upon registration, $20 paid to instructor for beading kit at start of class)

Need a night out for some “me” time? Want something fun to do with your besties? This class will be what you’re looking for – learn some jewelry making skills in a relaxed environment. We will cover the basics of beading while making a beautiful necklace to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Not only will you have the beautiful colors of autumn any time you want in this lovely piece of jewelry, you’ll also have the feeling of pride that comes with creating something yourself!

About your “Bead with Us!” Instructor

Nancy Desrosiers, Designer and Owner of All Strung Out (a jewelry website on Etsy), has been making jewelry for more than10 years and has taught jewelry making at both Winslow and Waterville Adult Ed programs. She also consigns her work at Lisa Marie’s Made In Maine in Bath and Portland.

About the Necklace

The Autumn Necklace is made with gorgeous unakite gemstone leaves with rich shades of soft reds and greens, red jasper round gemstones for a pop of color, beautiful honey gold Czech crystals, antique brass filigree diamonds and features a stunning antique brass leaf as the focal point. The Autumn Necklace measures 24 inches in length but can be made shorter if preferred.

About the Workshop

For $40 you get everything you’ll need to make the dazzling Autumn Necklace including live step-by-step instruction from Nancy, a necklace kit with takeaway instructions and all the components needed to complete the necklace. If you have jewelry tools (round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, and wire cutters) you are encouraged to bring them, but if you don’t tools will be available for use in the workshop. If you wear eyeglasses, don’t forget them at home! Beading includes intricate work that anyone can master with a little instruction, but having a sharp eye is important.
