Professor Jim Fleming will give very short remarks about shooting chickens out of a cannon, building an artificial volcano, nuking the north pole, and his new book, Inventing Atmospheric Science, just published by the M.I.T. Press.

Jim Fleming is Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at Colby College. He also serves as series editor for the Palgrave Studies in the History of Science and Technology.
