Behind the Lens
April 13, 2018 – April 14, 2018
FreeSincere, insightful, and poignantly relatable, Behind the Lens is an original play in two acts. It explores the lives of high school students learning how to form healthy relationships and gain self-acceptance. The story of Jessi, an introverted photographer, and Nick, an outgoing Youtube star, is told through challenge videos, locker gossip, and a grand campaign of Dungeons and Dragons. The play was written collaboratively by youth members of Out & Allied Youth Theatre to include the voices of LGBTQIA+ youth into conversations surrounding relationships and abuse.
There will be three performances: Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 14, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted.
