Central Maine Tech Night
October 12, 2017, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
FreeCentral Maine's technology community comes together for a fun night of collaboration, drinks, food, and networking. At Tech Night you will be connected with technologists that share a passion for learning, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Our October TechTalk is “Sensing the BioGeoChemistry of Lakes and Oceans From Autonomous Buoys and Drones,” by Prof. D. Whitney King, Frank and Theodora Miselis Professor of Chemistry at Colby College.
In the last five years we have seen an explosion of new technologies to autonomously sense the environment from buoys and drones. Prof. King will describe how we are using these technologies in the Belgrade Lakes and off the coast of Maine to study the complex ecosystems of Maine.
Location: Hathaway Creative Center, 10 Water Street, Waterville, www.hathawaycreativecenter.com.
