Community Narcan Training

April 3, 2:30 PM4:00 PM

Free

Please join United Way of Kennebec Valley (UWKV) and the KV Chamber of Commerce for a community Narcan training with MaineGeneral’s Harm Reduction program, a UWKV-funded partner.

Last year, as many as 607 people died of an overdose in Maine. While this number is much lower than the 723 overdose deaths reported in 2022, that decrease is largely due to the availability of Narcan. Narcan is a lifesaving, easy-to-use medication that anyone can learn to administer.

You never know when you may be in a situation to reverse an opioid overdose.

This training will cover a brief history of Narcan and the Harm Reduction program then move into a hands-on training session.

This is a free, in-person training with a Zoom option available.
