Fall Shabbaton
October 25, 2019 – October 26, 2019
Come to a unique weekend of Jewish music and learning. Featuring Nefesh Mountain, an old-time American roots band steeped in Jewish tradition, the Shabbaton begins Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. with dinner and a musical Shabbat service in Foss, and continues on Saturday with a full day of music, meals, and learning in Millett House and other locations at Colby. Talmudic scholar and former member of Knesset Ruth Calderon will engage in an informal discussion on Friday evening, and teach on Saturday. There will be kids’ programming, a gentle hike, a community lunch, all culminating in a Nefesh Mountain concert Saturday at 8 p.m. in Given Auditorium. Free for students.
