You're invited to United Way of Kennebec Valley's Healing as a Community: A Panel Discussion.
Last week, our neighboring county was hit with an unthinkable tragedy — sending shock waves throughout Maine. We all handle trauma differently, and as we consider how United Way of Kennebec Valley can support community resiliency and recovery, we are hosting a panel discussion: Healing as a Community. The goal of this panel is to help Kennebec Valley community members process and understand the effects tragic situations can have on our community. Topics will include how we can begin to heal together, how to talk to children about tragedies, and how we can best prevent and prepare for mass attacks in the future.
Please join us for Healing as a Community: A Panel Discussion, Thursday, Nov. 9 from 10am - 11:30am on Zoom. This panel is open to all community members, including local business and nonprofit employees, schools, municipalities, and more.
