Higher Education in the Palestinian Authority
January 17, 2018, 11:30 AM
$12In June of 2017, our speaker, Dr. Richard R Hopper visited universities in the Palestinian Territories to help them develop the process for accreditation and quality assurance. He will talk about his trip and what is happening with higher education in the challenging environment of the occupation.
Dr. Hopper assumed his post at KVCC in April 2013. Over the past four years he has overseen major investments in college infrastructure and programming. These include the new Harold Alfond Campus in Hinckley with state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and the latest technology, including the new KVCC Center for Science and Agriculture. He has also overseen the implementation of several multi-million-dollar Department of Labor grants that have transformed information technology and other infrastructure. Under Dr. Hopper’s leadership KVCC has launched a new Honors Program, a rigorous option for students seeking a challenge and wishing to set themselves apart.
Lunch costs $12, payable at the door. MMGF’s aim is to provide an affordable, tasty lunch; we thank you in advance for understanding our need to slightly raise the cost of lunch in response to the rise in food costs.
