June 19, 2019, 6:00 PM
FreeHistorian Ken Hamilton will present an overview of the introduction and evolution of European products used in trade between Maine’s Native Americans and the French, English, and Dutch. Such goods included guns, blankets, kettles, awls, knives, axes, beads, mirrors, red vermillion powder, fish hooks, shirts, wool garment cloth, alcohol, tobacco, small fancy gifts, and even food. The audience is invited to bring objects from the Colonial era for identification.
