Leading Women’s Luncheon with Amber Lambke

November 15, 2016, 11:30 AM1:00 PM

$20

Amber Lambke is president of the Somerset Grist Mill, LLC and its Maine Grains label, carried by specialty food stores and used by fine restaurants and bakeries throughout the Northeast. She is also executive director of the Maine Grain Alliance. A driving force behind Maine’s sustainable foods movement, Amber has worked with local business leaders and community members to successfully bring the cultivation and processing of heritage grains back to Skowhegan, Maine.

Her efforts through the Maine Grain Alliance have generated a broader understanding and appreciation of the nutritional and economic value of heritage grains and oats, as well as their exceptional flavor. The alliance’s Kneading Conference, co-founded by Amber, now draws thousands of attendees from throughout North America each year and has spawned similar conferences across the country.

Each event in the Leading Women’s Luncheon series features a woman who has achieved great success in her field as a guest speaker. Though the series focuses on women’s experiences and challenges in pursuing successful careers, men and women are equally welcome to attend the event. The cost is $25, with a $5 discount for Chamber members who register ahead of time. Registration includes a luncheon buffet.

This Leading Women’s Luncheon is hosted by the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
