FreeMaurice Ravel’s “Boléro” has been featured in numerous films, where it suggests “evolution” from a primal point of origin. Excerpts from a few of these films will be shown with accompaniment by the ensemble. The program also explores the evolution of the jazz trumpet with Allen Vizzutti’s stunning American Jazz Suite with guest soloist Mark Tipton. We’ll also visit the world of comics with Jess Langston Turner’s “Black Bolt,” Julie Giroux’s “Before The Sun,” and David Mairs’s “A Touch of the Union Jack.”
