Parade of Lights
November 29, 2019, 6:00 PM
FreeDowntown Waterville’s annual holiday parade held the evening after Thanksgiving has drawn thousands of families to Main Street for many years and serves as a fun and festive kickoff to the holiday season. What better time of the year to get together and show our community spirit and support for one another!
The Children’s Discovery Museum is excited to have adopted this wonderful event. The museum has been a staple in the Central Maine community for many years and will be relocating to a larger space in Waterville in the coming years. While we anxiously wait to open the doors of our new location, we are excited to be hosting such a wonderful event for the community.
The parade will travel down Main Street as it has historically, starting at the intersection of College and Main Street, but this year looping around to front street and finishing at the Head of Falls. The tree lighting will take place at the Head of Falls this year. Parade of Lights floats and participants will be lining up on College Ave.
Santa will be seeing children after the Parade of Lights at Kringleville located in Castonguay Square.
Please dress warm as we do not know how the weather will be; however, we expect it to be cold!
PARKING BAN IN EFFECT ON MAIN STREET STARTING AT 3:00PM
