The Manchurian Candidate

November 6, 2022, 2:30 PM

Sixty years later and just in time for Election Day, The Manchurian Candidate, now recognized as a classic, looks just as terrifying — in fact more so! The recently deceased Angela Lansbury received an Oscar nomination as the extreme right-wing mother of a Korean War officer who returns from the war with a medal of honor and as the focal point of recurrent nightmares by members of his squad there. The film also stars Frank Sinatra, laurence Harvey, and Janet Leigh.

“Life has rarely imitated art in more fantastic, catastrophic, and wildly suspicious ways than with The Manchurian Candidate” —Deep Focus.

(PG-13, 126 min., 1962)

Regular admission prices apply. This film is eligible for the Youth Arts Access Fund.
